Spring is the season of new beginnings. Signs of this are everywhere: the Campus is in full bloom. Students , faculty and administrators alike have shed their winter coats and embraced the warmth of the season.

    This feeling of new beginnings was echoed in the faces of newly accepted students and their families in attendance at the University’s Accepted Student Day. You could feel their sense of excitement at what the future holds.

    New beginnings at times can also be overwhelming since they inevitably require change. Old surroundings fall away and are replaced with new ones.

    My advice to the students and families I met and to all students is to take everything one step at a time.
